As I already joked on my Instagram, one thing I absolutely loved about the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap... was Meredith Blake's amazing little workout outfit. Now, ten years later (because the 90s were totally 10 years ago, right?), I have finally fulfilled my childhood dream of owning my very own amazing little workout outfit! It is everything I dreamed, and more. First of all, I did not expect the leggings to be so soft that I kind of just want to sit there and stroke them. Second, I've seen color block leggings before... but I've never seen the blocks placed so strategically. I'm quite accustomed to people telling me I have "legs for days" (I'm six feet tall -- of course I do!), but the blocking on these pants combined with the high waist makes my legs look even longer. I put every pair of leggings through rigorous bend-over-in-front-of-the-mirror testing before paying for them. Whether or not you wear underwear with leggings, why would you purchase something that was see-through? These passed with flying colors. Clothes: Yvette Sports. Image: The Happy Talent on Instagram I also really loved the bra. Though it's rated "low impact" / "light support," I had no problem running in it. It's as comfortable as a low-impact bra, but definitely provides more support than it gets credit for. The straps are wonderful -- a fun, simple-yet-elegant twist on the popular strappy back Lululemon sells in different prints every year. The cups are molded for shaping and modesty, which is something I've begun looking for in a bra. Sometimes, I could swear athletic tops make nipples more visible than if the woman were topless... and I prefer to keep my geometries private. I wore the bra to a hot fusion class this week, and it did an excellent job wicking. Pretty much every surface of my body was slick with sweat, but my chest felt totally dry. Between the softness of the pants and the cuteness of the outfit -- which, I'll be real: part of the reason I've never had an "outfit" like this before was because I thought I would feel weird wearing it, but I actually totally love it! -- I'm super happy with the selection. And I'm super happy with the price -- though if you're looking for something a little more affordable, Yvette always has interesting items in their sale section, like the Anywhere Criss-cross Strappy, $16.59: And the Sculpt Sexy Racerback, $24.99: And if you still need help justifying: 1. You're more likely to work out if you feel comfortable and attractive in your workout clothes. So consider it an investment in your health. 2. The cost of a good sports bra is much smaller than the cost of back pain. Enjoy your shopping! Oh, and here's a little bonus material:
