TIL (that's Cool Person on the Internet speak for "today I learned") how to turn any Youtube video into a gif!
And it's super easy!
All you have to do...
Is type "gif" right before "youtube" in the video's URL. So, for example, I wanted to make a gif of my Labor Day on the South Fork video.
Even though, you know, the video totally deserves to be viewed in its original glory. I mean, come on -- Me and the Major by Belle and Sebastian and Best Song Ever by One Direction? In one video?!
So the URL for the video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sm92tyfRtXc. To make it a gif, you change it to http://www.gifyoutube.com/watch?v=Sm92tyfRtXc. Then you'll be redirected to gifs.com, where you choose what part of the video you want to turn into a gif -- and then given the gif file, url and html code. You can also give your gif a title and a social media or website URL for the gif to direct back to. Pretty cool, huh? So cool that I was like, why stop at just one? Why not make a gif out of EVERYTHING????? Like my scuba diving in Mexico video:
(Featuring another great soundtrack by me. Though apparently it has been muted due to copyright infringements...??? Good thing I'm hoping to use only my own originals by the end of the summer! :P )
And then there was that time I went PIRATE SURFING at the last Tellapart Party -- because adult playgrounds are so hot right now. And then there's all those karaoke nights. And that time Ruby came to the LSJUMB field rehearsal, Rose Bowl 2013. Enjoy!
