True story: I arrived at the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport (MSP) a few weeks ago... and the security line was basically out the door. It was INSANE. So, real quick, I googled "Free Trial of Clear Me," spent five minutes signing up... and then cut everyone in line. If your conscience says that's unfair, read no further. But if you want in on that -- click this link for your two-month free trial of Clear. Even though it's free, you'll still have to enter your credit card number, but it won't be charged. You just have to remember to cancel your membership within two months so it doesn't auto-renew and charge you. Or, if you love the service, don't cancel your membership. Most of the time when I fly, the security lines are manageable. But summer travel can definitely be a mess, especially if you're flying over a long weekend or to a popular summer destination. After signing up online, you just have to give a fingerprint and show your ID at the airport (no appointment necessary). Then a guard will escort you to the very front of the security line. Clear currently has its ID machines at airports in Austin, Baltimore, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston (IAH and HOU), Las Vegas, Miami, White Plains, Orlando, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle and Washington D.C. (IAD and DCA), as well as New York (LGA and JFK), Atlanta, and MSP. It's free -- so why not give it a try? Get your free two-month trial of Clear here. *** Want to know more about summer travel and airport hacks? Check out:
And if you need something epic to read on the plane, check out Danny Wallace’s masterpiece, F You Very Much: Understanding the Culture of Rudeness -- and What We Can Do About It. It's what I read on my flight -- and I laughed out loud at least five times. The guy next to me was like, "Whaaaaat?" Also, fun fact: I tweeted at the author while I was on my flight... and he replied! What a world we live in (yes -- I'm STILL impressed by the fact that I can use the internet on an airplane). In the wise words of Danny Wallace, "Safe travels!"
